A traditional activity, meaning “being with good/righteous companions.” Satsang is a sitting together with an enlightened person who usually gives a short speech and then answers questions.
This typically involves listening to or reading scriptures, reflecting on, discussing and assimilating their meaning, meditating on the source of these words, and bringing their meaning into one’s daily life.
Sat (Sanskrit) = true; Sanga (Sanskrit) = company or association.
Satsang = True Company or Association.
We can conduct Activities of Satsang by Incorporating the Following Four Paths of Yoga.
1. KARMA YOGA: – Selfless Service i.e., rendering the services without the attachment of the fruits of the action.
2. BHAKTHY YOGA: – Devotion, the Complete Surrender to God. The Easiest form of Yoga. Examples – Bhajans,Kirtans,Singing Songs, Recitation of Lords Name, Likhita Japa, Lalitha Sahasranamam,Vishnu Sahasranamam, Bhagaved Gita,Ramayana Classes etc.,

Raja Yoga is also known as Ashtanga Yoga (Eight Steps of Yoga), because it is organised in eight parts:
1) Yama-Self-Control | 2) Niyama – Dicipline | 3) Asana – Physical Exercises | 4) Pranayama- Breathing Exercises |
5) Pratyahara – Withdrawal of the senses from external Objects. | 6) Dharana – Concentration | 7) Dhyana – Meditation | 8) Samadhi – Complete Realisation. |
These eight steps of Raja Yoga provide systematic instruction to attain inner peace, clarity, self-control and Realization.
